Yesterday afternoon, the Carabinieri of the station Casagiove they reported a 37-year-old from San Tammaro for carrying weapons or objects capable of causing offence.
The man, already known to the police, was stopped while he was wandering around suspiciously on board a Jeep Avenger in via Firenze.
The stop was triggered by the 37-year-old's constant passing and slowing down near a pharmacy and a supermarket. During the search of the car, the carabinieri found a semi-automatic airsoft gun cal. 6 without a red cap, a faithful reproduction of those used by the police force, under the driver's seat.
The weapon was seized for ballistic tests useful for verifying the modifications made and its offensive capacity. The 37-year-old, accompanied to the barracks, was reported at liberty and proposed for the issuing of the mandatory expulsion order.
