Controls against environmental crimes continue in the province of Avellino. The Carabinieri of Forestry Unit of Marzano di Nola, in collaboration with colleagues from the territorial station, reported the administrator of a company Fifteen for illicit waste management and serious environmental violations.
The intervention was triggered as part of an operation aimed at preventing and repressing crimes against the environment. During the inspection, the military found that the company, operating in the sector mechatronic, was deprived of the necessary industrial wastewater management permits.
During the checks in the premises intended for processing, several items were found containers of polluting liquids, labelled with environmental hazard pictograms. These highly harmful substances were stored in violation of current regulations, posing a serious risk to theecosystem , public health.
In light of the irregularities found, the Carabinieri proceeded to seizure of the entire business activity and the owner was reported to Public Prosecutor's Office Avellino for violations of the Consolidated Environmental Text. The operation underlines the commitment of the police forces in the fight against environmental crimes, in order to protect the community and the territory.
