The announcement came during the Battipaglia city congress, at a time marked by the news regarding the arrest of his collaborator Lucy Simeon, involved in an investigation by the Belgian authorities.
“My priority is to ensure Forza Italia has a smooth path towards the regional elections”, declared Martusciello. "I have built a solid party that is above suspicion. At this stage it is right that every context be clarified without interference. For this reason I believe it is my duty to protect the party from any possible attack or exploitation, clarifying that I am not among the possible candidates for the presidency of the Campania Region".
Despite giving up the race for the leadership of the Region, Martusciello confirms his political commitment. "My work for Forza Italia continues with determination. My goal remains to strengthen the party and build a solid alternative for the future of Campania", concluded the regional leader of the blue.
