Maddaloni– A stolen camper was recovered by the Carabinieri thanks to a “web patrolling” activity and the analysis of video surveillance images. A 19-year-old, domiciled at the Roma camp of Gricignano di Aversa, was reported for receiving stolen goods.
The vehicle, a camper van stolen on the night of February 12 from a judicial warehouse in Maddaloni, had been stolen after unknown individuals had forced the entrance gate of the structure, then managing to escape on board the vehicle.
The investigations, conducted by the military of the Maddaloni Station, immediately focused on the analysis of the footage of the cameras public and private ones installed along the roads travelled by thieves.
At the same time, careful online monitoring allowed the data from vehicle and spare parts sales sites to be cross-referenced, thus leading investigators to the location of the camper, already ready to be used as a home.
When this morning the Carabinieri they knocked on the door of the vehicle, the young woman welcomed them without showing any surprise. However, not being able to provide explanations about the possession of the camper, she was reported for receiving stolen goods. The vehicle, placed under seizure, was finally returned to the judicial warehouse from which it had been stolen.

It's an interesting article but I don't understand why there is so much theft of campers, perhaps because there is not enough security in the areas where they park. They should do more checks and prevention to avoid similar episodes.
