Selma Ezzine, a young singer of Moroccan origins living in San Giorgio del Sannio, in the province of Benevento, triumphed in the talent show “Dalla strada al palco”, which aired yesterday evening on RaiUno.
The twenty-year-old impressed the audience and the jury with her extraordinary interpretation of 'Lady Marmalade', a 1974 song by Labelle that was later brought back into fashion in the late XNUMXs by Christina Aguilera in the film Moulin Rouge, performed in duet with the Irpinia artist Big Mama. The performance highlighted her vocal mastery and a high-level stage presence.
“If I were to win, I would dedicate the victory to my family who I love” had declared at the beginning of the episode. The fourth edition of the show, hosted by Nek and Bianca Giaccero, saw Selma win first place with 841 points. Jonny and Manuel came in second with 831 points, while Frenci came in third with 814 points.
During her journey on the program, hosted by Nek and Bianca Guaccero, Selma also obtained a record score of 870 points in a single episode. The winner takes home a prize pool of 10 thousand euros in gold tokens.
