Article Key Points
Speaking to the Dire agency, Spadafora explains that the new movement's "final objective" is to "give a contribution to the centre-left" to counter the idea that "the right will win again in the next elections" and "to give back a little hope to all those who believe that today there is no competition between the two sides".
To achieve this, there are "people with a fairly precise identikit in the field, people who in the territory, in all areas, healthcare, business, associations, address people's daily problems and experiment with solutions".
It all started on January 25 in Rome, when "we publicly launched the association's public path. 400 people representing all the regions of Italy and all these worlds arrived and now this path begins that will see us go around the territories, address the issues, begin to work on the priority questions that concern people".
In choosing the protagonists of the new movement "we have overcome the idea that one is worth one. We have realized for some time that that slogan was totally unfortunate, because then when you are confronted with the complexity of government you realize that it takes experience skills.
In doing Primavera, speaking with many people, I realized that we were trying to create, obviously with different dimensions, in a different historical context, a space open to all, as the 5 Star Movement was, but with the difference that in this space we put all the people who know how to do it and who know what they are talking about”.
Marina Berlusconi repositions Forza Italia
Marina Berlusconi? “Sta cercando un posizionamento politico anche nuovo per Forza Italia, e non so quanto il suo pensiero sia concordato o meno con i vertici di Forza Italia” continua Vincenzo Spadafora, già ministro e sottosegretario con delega allo Sport e alle Politiche giovanili nei passati governi oggi promotore dell’associzione politica ‘Primavera’ nell’intervista rilasciata all’agenzia Dire.
On the part of the president of Fininvest there is "certainly a desire to increasingly distance herself from an ideological point of view from Giorgia Meloni who today represents a far from moderate right, a right-right as some say", continues Spadafora, according to whom "it is a very important message" but "I don't know what perspective it could have: I don't imagine a Forza Italia that suddenly allies itself with the center-left, at least I don't see it in the short term, but it certainly seems to me that Marina Berlusconi is sending very clear messages to her party in some way of change, of renewal, let's see what effect it will have on her ruling class".
PD-M5S must team up or Meloni will win again: “Campania and Puglia regional elections will be a test”
Vincenzo Spadafora believes in the unity of I have learned from experience and also from my mistakes that working as a team is the only way to try to be competitive, so I hope that even within the center-left between Schlein and Conte this desire to be truly united will start”, says the former minister and undersecretary with responsibility for Sport, now promoter of the political association 'Primavera' interviewed by the Dire agency.
If the coalition will be able to stay together "we will see in a few months for the regional elections in Campania, that will be a real test" because "at that point if there is an agreement, Conte will have to stop saying that no more agreements will be made with the PD and at that point it will be a structural agreement in all respects. And so the PD will probably also have to definitively overcome any type of prejudice against the 5 Star Movement. If that is the case, the regional elections in Campania, but also in Puglia, will be a sort of dress rehearsal for what could be for the next political elections".
Spadafora does not hide that "today there are still many difficulties, mistrust and above all the desire to always distinguish oneself from the other". This "does not help to create a common identity that also serves to make citizens understand that we are a coalition truly alternative to that of the center-right, because otherwise with all its limitations and with all the things that I do not agree with, Meloni will always seem much more convincing and much stronger than a group of political forces that each go their own way".

It is interesting to see how the new movement can bring about change. However, there are still many unknowns and it is not clear whether they will actually unite. I hope there will be a real constructive discussion between the parties.
