Three important training events for actors, authors and directors will enliven the coming months in Naples, focusing on three significant theatrical traditions: the theatre of the absurd, the Elizabethan theatre and the Russian theatre. These initiatives, part of the programme “Actors are born, but become”, are approved by the Ministry of Culture and the Campania Region, and represent the fifth edition of the masterclasses for advanced training in Dramatic Art, organised by the ICRA Project.
Theater of the Absurd
From July 15 to 19, the Trianon theater in Naples will be the setting for a masterclass focused on the Theater of the Absurd, highlighting the contribution of playwright Samuel Beckett. The proposed activities will include a wide spectrum of movement-voice training exercises, reading, improvisation and staging, dealing with works such as “Endgame”, “Waiting for Godot” and “Happy Days”.
Elizabethan Theatre
Then, from September 22nd to 27th, the spotlight will be on Elizabethan Theatre, with a particular focus on William Shakespeare. The masterclass entitled “If We Shadows” will offer an opportunity to explore “Romeo and Juliet” through the use of play, improvisation, sensory memories and staging.
Russian Theatre
Finally, from November 10 to 15, Naples will host an intensive training session on Russian Theatre, focused on the works of Anton Chekhov. The event, entitled “Restless is my soul”, will focus on “The Cherry Orchard”, involving activities of text study, vocal articulation and micromovements. The initiative will be directed by experts such as Gianni Garrera, Michele Monetta and Lina Salvatore, specialists respectively in dramaturgy, interpretation and functional vocality. The last meetings will take place at the Rehearsal Room of the Church of San Severo al Pendino in Naples. For further information, we recommend visiting the official website www.icraproject.it.

It seems to me that these events in Naples are very interesting, especially the masterclass on the theater of the absurd. I would like to know if there will be other similar activities in the future and how one can register to participate.
