Naples – On Monday evening, State Police officers executed a custodial detention order issued by the GIP of the Court of Naples (Office 7) at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office – IV Investigation Section.
The recipients of the measure are two brothers aged 27 and 37, considered seriously suspected of the attempted double homicide of MC and MG, which occurred last February. The episode, aggravated by the presence of a minor, is said to have arisen from a violent family conflict.
One of the two brothers is also accused of mistreatment and personal injury towards his cohabiting partner. The investigations, conducted by the Naples Flying Squad and coordinated by Section IV "Gender violence and protection of vulnerable groups", began after the arrest of the older brother, caught almost red-handed during the attempted murder.
Following the intervention of the police officers, the woman reported her ex-partner for domestic violence.
The investigations have brought to light a particularly serious circumstantial framework, also confirmed by the GIP's decision to accept the request of the Public Prosecutor. The judge has assessed the risk of recidivism as concrete and current, considering the personality of the suspects and the brutal nature of the crimes, committed in a family context already marked by tensions.
The episode has caused social alarm, underlining once again the urgency of combating domestic violence and feuds between family units. The two brothers will remain in prison pending the continuation of the investigation.
