The president of the Campania Region, Vincenzo De Luca, has announced that he intends to vaccinate 55-60 people per day.
He said this during the usual Friday Facebook live: “With the distribution of vaccines, the Government made a plan between the Regions that we have contested from the beginning because it is unbalanced for our Campania. The whole plan is wrong. In Campania 135 thousand vaccines with a decrease of 10%. Objective criteria are not being respected, we asked for a rebalancing that has not happened. We are discussing with Arcuri on how to guarantee the recalls. We will get to the point of asking for the invalidation of the distribution plan, I hope that common sense will prevail on everyone's part. The only criterion is one vaccine for every Italian citizen. By the first days of February we will finish the recall and then the administration to the population will begin. Our goal is always the same: to complete the vaccination of all Campania citizens by 2021. By March, with mass vaccination, there will be 140-150 vaccination points available, of course if we have the vaccines. It will be our responsibility to give ourselves an organization to vaccinate everyone. The goal is to do 55-60 vaccinations per day, but we will have no alternatives. Without it, we will not have the peace of mind of resuming social life."
“On the school situation he explained: “For schools we had an already known objective, that is, to reopen schools based on the evaluation of the epidemic and in complete safety for everyone. And therefore to bypass the month of January. We have reached our objective. On the 25th, primary schools should reopen as we had planned, then from the first of February, activities in secondary schools. We have strengthened transportation. The situation is good”. And then he added: “Our intention is to get to open safely by doing the 300 thousand antigen tests that we have provided to all school staff thanks to the collaboration of general practitioners”.
