Pianura, covid in the IX Municipality: fear returns, suspected outbreak in a nursing home
The data provided by the municipality with the reports and graphs on the monitoring of the coronavirus infection that saw the ninth municipality at the top of the ranking and with an incidence of sick people in childhood, have sent parents into a panic who could finally have hoped for a return to normality at least as regards the holding of lessons at school for the little ones. This was communicated by the municipal councilor Pasquale Strazzullo who in these hours is receiving numerous phone calls from citizens worried by the alarming data published and which have once again triggered the nightmare of the Covid-19 monster that although not yet defeated, had given hope for the vaccine that in these days has been administered in the initial phase to the medical and paramedical staff of the health facilities.
Furthermore, Strazzullo continues, many are reporting to me a presumed outbreak that is suspected in a nursing home for the elderly in Pianura where there would have been multiple hospitalizations and a coming and going of ambulances, and, again from what was reported by the citizens who provided me with photos and videos of the matter, there would also have been some recent deaths from Covid among the guests of the facility. I want to hope, concludes the councilor, that the operational unit of competence of the local ASL, together with those who carry out control functions on behalf of the Municipality of Naples that I am preparing to urge through the institutional channels, activate all the measures to guarantee and protect public health both for the reopening of schools and in nursing homes.
