The last deaths in the Covid ward of the Moscati hospital in Avellino date back to last Thursday.
A week later, two victims have been recorded. This morning, a 90-year-old man from San Martino Valle Caudina, hospitalized since January 20 in the sub-intensive care unit, and a 54-year-old American man who had arrived at the Avellino emergency room on January 4, died.
The man, who was spending a holiday in Italy, had felt the first symptoms at the beginning of January, his conditions then worsened to the point of requiring hospitalization. At Moscati he was immediately transferred to the sub-intensive care unit, where he died this morning.
