Two deaths from Covid -19 have occurred in the last two days in Ischia.
This morning, in fact, an elderly woman died at the “Rizzoli” hospital. The woman had been vaccinated, but had a very complex clinical picture at the time of admission. A Ferragosto is dead a 79 year old from Ischia, who returned to the island from abroad a few days ago, and who had been vaccinated at the end of July when, however, he was already showing symptoms of coronavirus infection.
In recent weeks, the number of positive cases on the island has risen significantly again, after a long period in which the island had very few cases of contagion.

“Unfortunately we still have to record the news of two deaths at Rizzoli due to the consequences of Covid”, he claims Antonio D'Amore, general manager of ASL Napoli 2 Nord.
And he adds: “The virus continues to claim victims among the unvaccinated, while infections in Ischia have reached 300. The invitation once again is to respect the distancing measures and – if you have not done so – get vaccinated”.
