“The preclusion to the comparison, which we suffered during the weeks preceding the realization of the electoral lists, is the furthest thing there can be in a party that defines itself as 'Liberal'. All those militants who in these months, with passion and sacrifice, have held high the flag of Forza Italia have been mortified.
We consider it highly unacceptable that a prestigious and populous province like Caserta, once the most blue in Italy, includes in the lists for the Chamber of Deputies only one member, in last position, without this being shared in any way with the territory.
Furthermore, it is symptomatic of a lack of political perspective that, in the entire Campania region, not a single representative of the youth movement was nominated, a situation which in truth was also repeated at a national level, as denounced in a press release signed by the National Coordinator of the Youth of Forza Italia”.
Giovanni Fasulo (City Councilor of Gallo Matese) and Emanuela Fasano (niece of the late Salerno deputy Vincenzo and Coordinator of the youth movement in Sessa Aurunca) stated this, respectively 1st and 2nd in the “Azzurra Liberta'” list at the last administrative elections in Sessa Aurunca. For Fasulo and Fasano “this way of doing things, from a XNUMXth century court that privileges personal relationships, without taking merit and militancy into account, does not represent us”.
“For these reasons, with bitterness in our hearts, we find ourselves forced to say goodbye to Forza Italia, recalling and making our own the words of Minister Brunetta after the fall of the Draghi Government (It is not us who are leaving Forza Italia, but the party that has denied its own history!”). Our political action certainly does not stop here, but will start again very soon with new exciting challenges”, they concluded.
