Last night in Cercola the Carabinieri of the local Tenenza checked a social promotion association on via Boccaccio.
The military found that the association members had organized an event with music and a DJ. Several hundred people were on the street waiting to enter the event and almost 350 were already inside the association despite the maximum capacity allowing for 100 patrons.
The military investigations revealed that the guests, in order to enjoy the evening, had purchased a membership card with a corresponding entrance ticket, thus evading the regulations regarding private clubs and associations.
Having therefore ascertained the absence of the qualifications to carry out the public entertainment activity and the precarious situation for public order and safety that had been created both inside and outside the disco, the Carabinieri proceeded with the utmost caution to the outflow of the customers, to the subsequent clearing of the street and to the definitive suspension of the event.
The members of the association - 3 men and 3 women aged between 36 and 30 - were reported for illegally opening places of public entertainment or spectacle with the consequent initiation of a procedural process for the immediate closure of the premises and a warning to comply with the requirements of the supervisory commission. The 6 members were also reported to the municipal administration for unlicensed public entertainment or spectacles.
