French actress Juliette Mayniel, mother of Alessandro Gassman, has died at the age of 87. The actor himself, son of Vittorio Gassman, announced the news in a post on Twitter: "You are no longer with us and you will always be with us. I love you, have a good trip, Mom."
Mayniel won a Silver Bear for Best Actress at the 1960 Berlin Film Festival for her performance in the film 'The Deserter'. – Mayniel's films include Eyes Without a Face (1960), Sins in the Family (1975), The Vice in the Family (1975),
