In the past week, the officers of the Police Station of San Giorgio a Cremano, with the support of the crews of the Campania Crime Prevention Department, carried out extraordinary territorial control services in the areas affected by the "movida" in the municipalities of San Giorgio a Cremano, San Sebastiano al Vesuvio, Massa di Somma and Pollena Trocchia.
During the operation, 569 people were identified, 282 vehicles were checked, 7 of which were subjected to administrative seizure and 33 violations of the Highway Code were contested for lack of insurance coverage and driving without a license since it had never been obtained; 4 registration documents and a driving license were also withdrawn.
Furthermore, on Thursday night, while driving along via Domenico Scarlatti in San Giorgio a Cremano, the police noticed a scooter with three people on board, the driver of which, upon seeing them, accelerated to avoid being stopped.
A chase ensued which ended in Piazza Municipio where, thanks to the support of two crews from the Campania Crime Prevention Department, the three occupants were finally stopped.
The driver, identified as a 17-year-old from San Giorgio a Cremano, was reported for resisting a Public Official while the two passengers, aged 16 and 15, were handed over to their parents; finally, they ascertained that the 17-year-old did not have a driving licence as he had never obtained one and that the motorcycle, registered to the parent, had already been seized and did not have insurance coverage.
