The hole gang in action in the province of AVELLINO. In Cassano Irpino, Lioni and Manocalzati, three thefts were committed last night at different tobacconists' bars: mainly cartons of cigarettes were stolen and cash taken from cash registers.
In Lioni and Manocalzati, the thieves entered the two commercial establishments (both located in service areas along the Ofantina), through a hole made in an external wall: disturbed by the alarm system, the thieves fled before the arrival of the Carabinieri.
Pursued by the Gazzella, the dark-colored Audi with the thieves on board (all with their faces covered), managed to disappear at the Contursi junction. Investigations are underway by the Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of AVELLINO. The images acquired by the video surveillance systems are also being examined.
