England captain and striker Harry Kane has signed a four-year contract with Bayern Munich, running until the summer of 2027, the Bavarian club announced in a statement. The move from Tottenham is valued at over €100 million.
“It’s hard to put it all into words and say goodbye to a club and fans that have meant so much to me and my career. You will always be in my heart. Thank you to Tottenham and thank you to the fans.” It's Kane's farewell video message on social media after a stay at Spurs that lasted since 2004.
“I am sad to leave the club after almost 20 years. I have so many memories and special moments spent here that I will cherish forever”, says the striker, who after a few minutes uses sweet words for his new team. “It has been an incredible welcome for my family in Monaco over the last 24 hours. I am thrilled to have signed for such a great club with such an incredible history. I can’t wait to get started”, his words while wearing the Germans' number 9 shirt.
