Abused Animals: Dog Training Center Seized
The Carabinieri of the Forestry Unit of marcianise they executed the preventive seizure order issued by the investigating judge at the request of the North Naples Prosecutor's Office.
The entire breeding, shelter and training facility for dogs in Casaluce, Mangiacane, has been sealed off. The legal representative of the breeding facility and the Veterinarian (Health Director of the breeding company) are being investigated for animal abuse.
After investigations by the ASL Veterinaria of Aversa and the forestry carabinieri of Marcianise, it emerged that many of the dogs raised had abrasions on their paws, or were malnourished, or with serious dermatological pathologies and stereotyped attitudes.
The managers of the facility “mistreated or detained animals in conditions incompatible with their nature and producing serious suffering, causing them physical injuries and psychological suffering” reads the note signed by the prosecutor Maria Antonietta Troncone.
The execution of the preventive seizure required the monitoring and cataloging of all the dogs present in the facility, which turned out to be 365 adults in addition to 29 puppies. During the seizure operations, 3 dead puppies were also found, whose carcasses were collected by the ASL personnel who intervened and which will be subjected to an autopsy to establish the causes of their deaths.
The seized breeding unit was entrusted to the custody of a member of the animal rights association Stop Animal Crime, who offered to perform this role free of charge.
