“In Vico Vasto a Casanova the degradation has reached intolerable levels. Inside an abandoned building, just behind via Casanova, on the advice of some residents we found ourselves faced with an unsustainable situation that risks becoming a health bomb.
In the building, a huge refuge area has been created for the desperate, the homeless and drug addicts, inside which all kinds of waste are dumped. This place, according to some testimonies of citizens, serves as a makeshift bed for a group of desperate people who are forced to live in inhuman conditions.
I have alerted the competent services of the ASL and Asia so that the entire area is radically reclaimed and definitively forbidden to the passage or stay of people who seriously risk endangering their safety". These are the words of the deputy of the Green Left Alliance Francesco Emilio Borrelli, who carried out an inspection in the area.
