The Order of doctors Surgeons and Dentists of Naples and the province donated a check for 10.000 euros to Prefect Claudio Palomba, destined for the community of Sant'Egidio.
The doctors and dentists of the area responded generously to the Prefect's appeal, demonstrating their commitment to supporting the community that is dedicated to helping those in difficulty and works for peace through the volunteer work of men and women united by a bond of brotherhood.
Prefect Palomba's appeal has contributed significantly to supporting the action of the Sant'Egidio community in favor of those fleeing war zones, individuals who have lost everything and are looking for a new beginning after years of violence and suffering.
President Bruno Zuccarelli commented: “The call for help could not go unheard. Many colleagues have chosen to support this cause, aware of the enormous economic and social difficulties, the terrible suffering that many women, men and children endure because of the war. I want to thank all the colleagues who every day put themselves at the service of others and who also on this occasion have shown that they have a big heart.”
The Councilor of the Order Raffaella De Franchis was present together with the President of the Order of Surgeons and Dentists of Naples and the Province.
