Antonio Caporaldi, 55, will face charges of attempted massacre and stalking his wife before the Naples Assize Court on July 25. His validation hearing led to the adjournment of the defense at the request of his criminal lawyer, Massimo Viscusi.
On the morning of July 13, Antonio, agitated by a violent argument with his ex-wife, tried to blow up the apartment with gas, where the woman had moved a few months earlier.
The neighbors, alarmed by the screams, called a State Police patrol car who then found the agitated man in the entrance hall of the building in Naples.
Antonio, who was not very cooperative with the officers, had already had problems the previous month, when he had been reported by the Carabinieri for death threats during a family argument. Currently detained in the Poggioreale prison, Antonio Caporaldi is originally from Secondigliano.
