A Caserta a new cycle path has been inaugurated that goes from Corso Giannone to the Municipal Library, passing through various central areas of the city.
This project is part of initiatives to enhance alternative mobility in the area, both pedestrian and bicycle-based. The creation of this green infrastructure was made possible thanks to funding from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), with the aim of promoting a more sustainable lifestyle and reducing air pollution.

A cycling route in continuous development
The city of Caserta is committed to further enhancing the network of existing bike paths, such as those on Corso Giannone, Via Verdi, and Via Renella. In the future, additional bike paths are planned in the Acquaviva neighborhood, as part of the Urban Quality Plan (Pinqua). Once all the work is completed, the city will have 18 km of bike paths, offering residents and visitors the opportunity to move around sustainably and safely.
Caserta's Mayor, Carlo Marino, emphasized the importance of investing in a new urban mobility model that promotes the quality of life and safety of its citizens. Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Mobility, Emiliano Casale, also emphasized how this project will enable the adoption of advanced forms of mobility, including bicycles and electric scooters. The goal is to create a modern and cutting-edge city in terms of sustainability.
The inauguration of the cycle path represents a significant step towards greater sustainable mobility in Caserta, improving air quality and promoting a healthier lifestyle for residents.
