An artistic journey between music and nativity scene tradition
A musician who graduated with honors in Afro Cuban drums and percussion at the G. Martucci Conservatory in Salerno, Rago is also a passionate creator of nativity scenes. His passion, inherited from his father, has been refined through the study of the techniques and stories behind each element of the nativity scene, with a careful eye to the details of eighteenth-century tradition.
“Rags of a Past”: the main work
The work that Cristian will exhibit is entitled “Stracci di un passato” (Rags of a Past). The scenography recalls an old facade of an ancient building, where elements of daily life reveal the fragility and beauty of passing time. Among fruit, wicker baskets and passing animals, the work becomes a visual reflection of how “The Word becomes flesh”, sharing human fragility through minute details and evocative atmospheres. Cristian Rago, with his innovative proposal, not only carries on a tradition, but enriches it with new perspectives, marking an important chapter in his artistic career.
