Arzano. Yet another fatality on the road between Naples and its province. It happened shortly after noon today along Provincial Road 12 from the Arzano roundabout towards Melito.
A 74-year-old man from Qualiano on board his Fiat Panda, probably while returning home for lunch, crashed into a truck in front of him and then ended his journey along the road near a gate.
The man died instantly.

The Arzano municipal police, coordinated by Commander Biagio Chiariello, arrived on the scene and acquired the cell phones of both the victim and the truck driver, who was also subjected to an alcohol test.
Carabinieri from the local station were also on site. The victim's body was transported to the Giugliano hospital morgue pending the decision of the Naples North Prosecutor's Office.
