A 57-year-old man, in imminent danger of life, was urgently transported from Naples to Turin during the night. The medical flight, which ended with landing in Turin, was carried out with a C-130J of the 46th Air Brigade of the Italian Air Force.
The operation was requested by the Prefecture of Naples and, after a rapid coordination with the health facilities, the take-off authorization was issued from the Operations Room of the Aerospace Operations Command of Poggio Renatico (Ferrara).
The plane, which took off from the Pisa base, reached Capodichino airport, where it took on the ambulance with the patient on board for the transfer to Turin, where the man was expected to be admitted to the Molinette hospital.
Thanks to this operation, it was possible to minimize the transfer times and ensure constant monitoring and medical assistance, essential given the patient's critical conditions.
