Castellammare. The shooting is back on the streets of Castellammare where a criminal was wounded in the legs in the late afternoon today. The ambush was triggered in the northern suburbs and precisely in via Napoli.
The injured man is a young man from Castellammare di Stabia, already known to the police, who was hit by a bullet in the leg. Immediately after the shots, the lone gunman who was riding a scooter disappeared, leaving no trace of him.
Those who witnessed the shooting, after seeking shelter, proceeded to call for help and then the police. The injured person was rushed by an ambulance to the 118San Leonardo Hospital.
The man underwent surgery in the evening to extract the bullet retained in his leg. The carabinieri of the local company are conducting the investigation to find out who shot him before running away.
In the evening, the Carabinieri, thanks to the testimonies, but also to the statements of the injured man and to the images from the video surveillance cameras in the area, stopped a suspect and took him to the barracks for questioning. It is not excluded that this is a private matter.
