Avellino is preparing for a trial of great judicial importance: the Court has set the preliminary hearing for January 10, 2025, in which nine people will have to answer to the charge of fraud against the State for the illicit obtaining of building bonuses. The investigation, conducted by the Economic and Financial Police Unit of the Guardia di Finanza of Avellino, has brought to light a sophisticated fraud scheme aimed at the undue acquisition of tax credits linked to building bonuses for a total value of over 4,7 million euros.
The main defendants, Antonio Gagliardi and Francesco Filodemo, are accused of having submitted false communications to the Revenue Agency to obtain public contributions for a total of 3,8 million euros. The credits obtained would then have been transferred to Siano Antonio, who would have monetized them at Poste Italiane SpA
A further fraud, for a value of 173.500 euros, would have been orchestrated by Siano Ermanno, with the complicity of Filodemo Francesco, through the presentation of three other false communications. Antonio Prisco, legal representative of the Consumer Protection Srls, allegedly received illicit credits for 720.000 euros from Siano Ermanno.
Other defendants – Patrizio, Stefano and Michele Siano, together with Alessandra Lombrino – are accused of laundering money from the transfers of fraudulently created credits. The defendants will be defended by the lawyers Raffaele Tecce and Amerigo Festa, who will have the task of dismantling the accusations of aggravated fraud, receiving stolen goods, money laundering and undue compensation brought by the Prosecutor's Office.

It's interesting that there is such a big investigation regarding the building bonus. I hope that justice takes its course and that those who made mistakes are punished as they should be. It's not right that the state loses money like this.
Yes, it is a very complicated and worrying situation. Many people may have suffered damages because of these scams, and it would be good to clarify everything as soon as possible.
Fraud against the state is a serious problem. I hope there will be more severe measures in the future to avoid similar situations, but also more careful controls on how these bonuses are managed.
