I Oblique Strings have released their third single titled John Ruskin, taken from the album “Cries and Whispers“, which is scheduled for release on February 14, 2025. The song mixes post-rock and metal influences, with lyrics that partly include a quote from English art historian John Ruskin, known as a mentor to the Pre-Raphaelites.

Upcoming concerts
Corde Oblique have already announced some upcoming concert dates. Among them, on January 25, 2025 they will perform in Sofia, Bulgaria; on June 5, 2025 they will be in Ashaffenburg, Germany. A concert is scheduled in Nis, Serbia, between August 15 and 17, 2025.
History and activities
The artistic project directed by Riccardo Prencipe was born in Naples in 2005. Prencipe, who graduated in classical guitar at the Conservatory of Naples San Pietro a Majella, has released eight albums under the name Corde Oblique. The group, which offers songs inspired by the history of Italian art and the traditions of Southern Italy, has seen the participation of numerous guest artists in their albums. The band has an intense live activity that has led them to perform in Italy, China, France, Holland and Germany.

I read the article about Corde Oblique and I have to say that I was very impressed. The mix of genres like post-rock and metal is interesting, but I'm not sure if Hopelandic is easy to understand for everyone.
