A fatal accident at work occurred in Postiglione, in the Salerno area. Domenico Caputo, a 36-year-old local, lost his life after being hit by a truck while working in his family's business, located in the industrial area of the town.
For reasons still under investigation, the man was hit by a truck parked in front of the factory. The 118 paramedics, the firefighters and the Carabinieri of the local station promptly intervened on the scene. Despite attempts to resuscitate him, there was nothing that could be done for Domenico Caputo.
The tragedy has deeply shaken the community of Postiglione, where the 36-year-old was well known and esteemed. Numerous messages of condolence have been sent to the family. In the meantime, the authorities continue to investigate to clarify the exact dynamics of the facts.
