The artistic programming of the Nuovo Teatro Sancarluccio continues with an unmissable event from 13 to 15 December 2024, which will see Peppe Lanzetta on stage with his show “I Nuovi Mostri”.
The actor, playwright and writer, recently starring in Paolo Sorrentino's film Parthenope, presented at Cannes, will offer the audience of the famous space in via San Pasquale a Chiaia - directed by Giuliana Tabacchini - a show full of monologues and readings, which proposes a surreal and comical journey, imbued with a political fantasy vision of our society. His story ranges from Caserta to the White House, from Iran to Foggia, reflecting on current issues with an irreverent and irreverent style.
With his return to Sancarluccio, Lanzetta brings to the stage all the desire to break the flatness that characterizes our daily life. With fantasy as a tool to shorten distances, the world can become a "large condominium", a concept that resumes his critical vision of social and youth problems.
In his works, in fact, Lanzetta has often highlighted the comparison between the reality of Secondigliano and that of New York, as well as the desire to fight marginalization. A return to the roots of his theater, which invites us to reflect, laugh and, above all, to never forget the power of critical thinking.
