Scott McTominay, a new and increasingly essential face of Napoli, has won the hearts of the Neapolitan fans. Having integrated perfectly into Antonio Conte's ambitious project, the British midfielder has put down roots in the city he now calls home. Interviewed by "BBC Scotland", McTominay retraced the moments that led him to leave Manchester United and revealed the special bond that unites him to his new teammates.

“Leaving United was a big decision, but in some ways also a simple one,” said the Scotsman. “When I saw the passionate fans, the coach and the players, I understood that Napoli represented a unique opportunity. I had no doubts: I seized this chance and didn't look back. It was what I wanted and I will never have regrets in my life. If I decide to do something, then I do it. Nothing can hold me back.”

McTominay He spoke enthusiastically about his new chapter, highlighting how quickly he has adapted to the city and the club. “I love Napoli, I love the fans and I love my teammates. Every day it is a pleasure to go out on the pitch with them,” he explained. A special thought went to Billy Gilmour, his compatriot and now also a teammate in the blue jersey. “Billy and I have helped each other a lot. Before, we only saw each other in the national team, now it’s fantastic to share every day together. This makes everything even more special.”

  1. It's very interesting the story of McTominay and how he adapted to Napoli. But I wonder if this decision was really as easy as he says. Sometimes choices are never easy, especially for a player.
