A large-scale operation by the Carabinieri del Vomero involved the stations of the metro line 1, with particular attention to the Vanvitelli and Piscinola stops, in the heart of Neapolitan nightlife.

The first to end up under the scrutiny of the police was a boy of just 12 years old, found with a pocket knife in his pockets. For him, an immediate report to the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office. Not least, a 16-year-old was caught with a blade at the exit of the Piscinola stop, resulting in him being reported. A 19-year-old also attracted the attention of the authorities: a kitchen knife was seized while it was hidden under the seat of his scooter.

The operation, carried out during the night, saw the collaboration of the Campania Regiment, the Guardia di Finanza, the Local Police, the ASL Napoli 1 Centro and Enel. Not only weapons were at the center of the checks: several people, already known to the police, were reported for violating restrictive measures, while two individuals were reported for activities of unauthorized parking.

Two illegal parking attendants also stopped and reported

A total of 14 people have been reported to the Prefecture for drug use, and a thirty-year-old will have to answer for possession of drugs for the purpose of dealing.

On the road safety front, 46 fines were issued for violations of the highway code, many of which for failure to use a protective helmet, with eight vehicles seized.

The Carabinieri have announced that checks will continue in the coming hours to ensure the safety of Neapolitan nightlife.

The Carabinieri operation seems to have had a significant impact. However, I find it strange that such young people are involved in such serious situations. A deeper analysis is needed to understand the causes of these behaviors.
