Article Key Points
Among the main topics discussed were the inclusion of new signings and the situation of the injured. “Kolo Muani is available and we will see if he will start or not. We have taken a player of his level because we think he can help the team and he reflects our needs” Motta explained, referring to the French striker who arrived on loan from Paris Saint-Germain.
The coach also said he was satisfied with the settling-in process of Alberto Costa, another summer addition: “He and Kolo Muani are fitting in very well.” However, there is no shortage of absences ahead of the challenge against the Neapolitans: “The unavailable players for Napoli will always be Milik, Bremer and Cabal”.
“Napoli favourite, but Juve ready to fight”
Thiago Motta praised his opponents, recognizing their value and the merit of first place in the standings. "Napoli is a great team and deserves first place. We are behind: the reality is that they are ahead, but it will be a great match and we will give our all to win."
Many have highlighted the similarities between Juventus and Naples, both protagonists of a change on the bench during the summer. But for the Italian-Brazilian the differences are evident: "In my opinion the situations are not similar, they are different in many aspects. I can say that I am satisfied with many things, but less so with the too many draws." Motta then took stock of the Bianconeri's season, characterised by some difficulties but also by encouraging signs: "We have a young and talented team. We have had some setbacks with injuries, but we are trying to overcome them with courage."
