Caivano – Technology to support security. The city's video surveillance system has sent an alert to the Carabinieri, allowing the arrest of two people caught illegally withdrawing fuel.

It all started with a suspicious van that was wandering around the streets of the municipality in the province of Naples. The military of the local company, suspicious, started the checks and entered the license plate of the Fiat Doblò in the monitoring software installed by the extraordinary government commissioner.
During the night, the system reported the vehicle at an IP service station on Via Sannitica, triggering the immediate intervention of the police.
They had taken fuel for 1700 euros
When they arrived on site, the carabinieri surprised two men busy filling cans with petrol, using eight fuel credit cards for a total of 1.700 euros. They are Diego Silvestri, 40, and Raffaella Troise, 39, both from Naples and already known to the police.
The fuel – 58 liters in total – was returned to its rightful owner, while the two individuals were arrested. They will have to answer to charges of improper use and falsification of payment instruments other than cash, as well as theft.
