Yesterday a Scafati the Carabinieri of the local police station arrested a 29-year-old local man for “illegal possession of a clandestine weapon”.
According to the reconstruction carried out by the judicial police, explains in a note from the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Nocera Inferiore court, "at the end of the search, the man was found in possession of a 22 caliber pen-pistol, with relative ammunition, considered to be a clandestine weapon following a specific ballistics assessment".
During the operation, counterfeit banknotes for a value of 1300,00 euros were also seized. The man was placed under house arrest pending the validation trial.
