Naples – The deputy commissioner of the State Police, Guido Albano, has obtained the revocation of the house arrest to which he was subjected as part of an investigation into money laundering attributable to the Contini clan, with its epicenter in the renowned pizzeria “Dal Presidente” in Naples.
The decision comes after the Court of Cassation, at the end of January, filed the reasons that led to the annulment of the order of the Review Court of Naples, excluding the presence of serious evidence of guilt against Albano.
The judicial turn of events prompted defense lawyers Fabio Visco and Vanni Cerino to file a petition with the Court of Naples, which accepted the request, revoking the precautionary measure.
Albano had ended up in the sights of the investigators of the District Anti-Mafia Directorate for his alleged role as a hidden partner in a business activity linked to Maximilian Of Caprior, 49 years old, considered one of the main suspects in the case.
DiCaprio, defended by lawyers Vittorio Giaquinto and Fabio Visco, was released from prison at the end of last November, while his wife, Deborah Capasso, 47, represented by lawyers Fabio Visco and Leopoldo Perone, was required to sign in.
The investigation, which continues to be a source of discussion, has brought to light alleged links between members of the police force and the world of organized crime, raising questions about the dynamics of money laundering and the infiltration of clans into the local economic fabric.
