Caserta – The Police Chief of Caserta, Andrea Grassi, has issued two measures prohibition of access to urban areas (DACUR), also known as “Urban Daspo”, towards a 20 year old and a 25 year old from Agro Aversano.
The measure, of the duration of two years, was adopted following an episode of violence that occurred last 22 February in via Seggio, ad Aversa, during the usual Saturday night movida. The two young people, according to what was reconstructed by the police, would have brutally attacked a peer, who suffered several injuries and was transported to the Aversa Hospital Emergency Room.
The provision imposes on the two subjects the prohibition to frequent not only the place of the attack, but also the surrounding areas, with the purpose of prevent new episodes that could put public safety and order at risk. The adoption of measures such as the Urban Daspo, already used in the past to combat crime phenomena linked to nightlife, underlines the institutions' commitment to guaranteeing safety in places where young people gather.

It is important that the authorities take measures such as the Daspo to prevent violence, but we hope that there will not be too many negative effects for the young people involved. Security is a priority but it must not be an excessive punishment.
