The military personnel of the Marigliano Carabinieri Forestry Unit, as part of a service aimed at preventing environmental, construction and urban and special waste cycle crimes, have intensified controls in the area of the so-called “Land of Fires”.
In particular, in the countryside of the Municipality of brusciano, the military proceeded to check a company dedicated to the resale of building aggregates.
From the activities it emerged that in an area inside the company, approximately 5 cubic meters of special waste from building demolitions were found in a state of abandonment without the necessary covering to prevent the dispersion of toxic and/or polluting substances into the environment.
In light of what was found, the entire area described above was seized and the owner of the aforementioned company was reported to the competent judicial authority for illegal management and abandonment of waste. During the control activities, the military also found, in a total state of abandonment, a truck which, from checks carried out, resulted to have been removed from circulation as it was subject to scrapping.
The investigators therefore went to the car wrecker who had issued a series of false documents aimed at testifying to the demolition of the aforementioned vehicle which in reality had never taken place, but had only consisted of the mere withdrawal of the license plates and the registration document.
Therefore, in light of what was found and at the end of the investigations carried out, the owner of the truck and the owner of the car wrecker were reported in conjunction with the owner of the company for the crimes of waste abandonment.
