Il Minister for Civil Protection and Maritime Policies, Nello Musumeci, received this morning in Rome a delegation of citizens of Bagnoli, accompanied by the Prefect of Naples, Michele Di Bari.
At the centre of the debate are the assistance measures for the population of Campi Flegrei, grappling with the recent seismic shocks which have caused further damage to private buildings and fueled concern among residents. During the meeting, crucial issues were discussed such as theuse of the former NATO base as a possible solution to the housing emergency, the risk of rental speculation and the need for streamline bureaucratic procedures to verify the habitability of the damaged properties.
Particular focus has been placed on ensuring essential services for elderly, disabled and students belonging to displaced families. Musumeci ensured that the Meloni government is already examining the requests made by the delegation and that a discussion is underway with the mayors of the area and with the president of the Campania Region. In the coming days, the measures will be discussed in the Council of Ministers.
The minister also illustrated the measures of structural and non-structural prevention adopted in the last year and a half, with targeted planning to reduce natural risks for the territory and for public and private assets. A plan that required a financial commitment more than half a billion euros.

It is important that Minister Musumeci received the citizens of Bagnoli. But I do not know if the measures proposed are sufficient. There are many problems and the situation is not easy to manage for the residents.
