The Court of Milan has admitted AC Milan and Lega Serie A as civil parties in the criminal association trial involving three Rossoneri ultras: the decision was made by the sixth criminal section in the proceedings against Christian Rosiello, Fedez's former bodyguard, Francesco Lucci, brother of Curva Sud leader Luca Lucci, and Riccardo Bonissi.
The three are accused of crimes ranging from criminal association to assault, battery, resisting a public official, extortion and assaults on the stewards of the Meazza stadium. During the hearing, the ultras' lawyer, Jacopo Cappetta, had asked for Milan to be excluded as a civil party, arguing that the club could not complain of damage to its image. “Milan uses the images of the South curve on your website for commercial purposes”, the lawyer said, pointing out that the club shows fans lighting torches to promote online ticket sales.
In addition to the main trial, another judicial strand sees about twenty Rossoneri ultras accused with an abbreviated procedure. This proceeding is taking place in the bunker courtroom of San Vittore in front of the preliminary hearing judge Rossana Mongiardo, and in this case too Milan, Inter and Lega Serie A have been admitted as civil parties.
