The extraordinary services implemented by the Naples Police Headquarters to combat the phenomenon of illegal possession of weapons and drug trafficking continue without stopping.
Last night, the agents of the Office of General Prevention and Public Rescue arrested a 53-year-old man, resident in Napoli, already known to the police for specific precedents related to the illicit possession of drugs.
The episode occurred in Forcella, in via Carbonara, on the corner with vico Santa Maria a Formiello. During a territorial control activity, the agents noticed an individual who, after taking something from a magnetized container near some dumpsters, handed the object to another person in exchange for a banknote. The latter then quickly walked away, arousing further suspicion.
The officers, who intervened promptly to block the criminal action, stopped the 53-year-old, finding him in possession of 355 euros in banknotes of different denominations, presumably the result of the illicit activity. In the container used for the exchange, however, 4 doses of cocaine were found, further evidence of the crime.
The arrest is part of a broader context of fighting organized crime and drug dealing, phenomena that continue to be a scourge for the Neapolitan territory. The State Police reiterates its commitment to guaranteeing security and legality, intensifying controls and acting with determination to dismantle illegal networks that operate in the shadows.
