Naples, yet another armed robbery in the Campania capital. Yesterday morning, around 8:10, the lawyer Hillary Sedu, of Nigerian origins, was robbed while he was stuck in heavy traffic in the city.
According to his testimony on social media, two men on a Honda SH scooter (license plate EL 99984) approached his car and, pointing a 9×21 pistol at his face, ordered him to hand over everything he had. The victim handed over the money and the robbers fled.
The lawyer described the robbers as two white men with Neapolitan accents.
This episode reignites the debate on security in Naples, where street robberies, especially in traffic, are a frequent phenomenon. Lawyer Sedu expressed his anger on social media, declaring: “The next person I hear mentioning the word security in connection with immigration, I will spit in their face.”
Law enforcement is investigating the incident and is looking for those responsible.
“I want to express my most sincere solidarity and closeness to the lawyer Sedu, victim of an unfortunate episode that unfortunately certifies, once again, the criminal drift of this city.
I agree with him that the problem of security and crime has no flags, it is not a question of origin, religion and skin color, it is a problem of the mind, of rotten minds, of lives dedicated to violence, to easy money, of people who want to dictate their own law at all costs through oppression and criminal methods. No one is safe from them, not on the street, not at home, not at work.
The methods adopted to date to counter criminal fury have proven insufficient, it is time to change gear" - these are the words of the Green-Sinistra alliance deputy Francesco Emilio Borrelli.
