A significant banner appeared in front of the Maschio Angioino in Naples, reading: "We don't want to count the dead!" This occurred shortly before the City Council meeting, convened in a single-issue session to address the issue of bradyseism in the Phlegraean Fields.
The session was also attended by the head of the Civil Protection, Fabio Ciciliano, who had recently expressed concern about the risk of collapses and victims in the event of an earthquake with a magnitude greater than 5. The banner initiative was promoted by members of the Bagnoli popular assembly.
In recent days, the group occupied the headquarters of the X Municipality with the intent of encouraging greater citizen involvement and asking that the City Council meet in a place and at a time more accessible to the inhabitants of the Phlegraean area.
