Sorso, March 26 – A tragic death shook the community of Sorso last night: a 50-year-old man was struck down by a heart attack immediately after finishing a game of 8-a-side football on the fields of the sports facility “Il Borgo degli Ulivi”.
The accident occurred shortly after the man had finished playing and was walking to his car in the parking lot. While walking, he suddenly felt ill and collapsed to the ground. His friends, alarmed, immediately called for help. Despite the timely and desperate attempts at resuscitation by the 118 operators, there was nothing that could be done for the man.
The Carabinieri of the Porto Torres Company intervened at the scene of the accident, interviewed witnesses and started the necessary investigations. A report was sent to the Public Prosecutor's Office Sassari to clarify the dynamics of the tragedy. The community of Sorso is shocked by the news, and the death of the fifty-year-old has left a void among friends and acquaintances who remember him for his passion for football and his active life.
