She signed up for the competition by chance, encouraged by relatives and friends, but, she says, "I never thought I could win, and now instead I'm living a dream": Viviana Matteucci, is 26 years old and is from Fuorigrotta, a neighborhood on the western outskirts of Naples, home to the Diego Armando Maradona stadium, is cherishing the dream of becoming Miss Italy 2022.
For now, she has gained access to the national pre-finals of the 83rd edition of the competition: last July 20, in the “Parco Urbano del Miglio d'Oro” in Ercolano, the third regional final of the competition was held and Viviana Matteucci was 'crowned' Miss Sport Givova Campania 2022, beating out 28 other competitors and gaining access to the next important step during which the miss who will represent Campania at the prestigious beauty contest will be chosen from three finalists.
The award was presented by actress Giovanna Rei, godmother of the evening, and the mayor of Ercolano Ciro Bonajuto. Among the judges were the city councilor of Ercolano Michele Simeone, promoter of the Ercolano stage, the city councilor of Naples lawyer Gennaro Demetrio Paipais and the engineer Vincenzo Giudice of the homonymous Branding and advertising company. The evening was accompanied by the music of maestro Salvatore Somma, who with his powerful voice revived strong emotions.
"I am experiencing indescribable emotions - comments Viviana Matteucci - I did not expect any of this, it is the first competition I have participated in. I did not even want to sign up, my family and friends insisted. I do not know what awaits me now but I am happy about one thing: I have been appreciated not only for an aesthetic question but also for what I am.
