Moments of tension in the Vasto neighborhood Naples behind the central station in Piazza Garibaldi.

Two officers of the Naples local police were surrounded and attacked while trying to stop a man who, in an evident state of drunkenness, was harassing passers-by.

It happened in via Firenze, a street inhabited and frequented by numerous migrants: it is no coincidence that the attackers, all non-EU citizens, were driven away thanks to the arrival of other patrols of the local police,

One of them - a 34-year-old Cameroonian citizen, resident in Mariglianella, in the province of Naples - was arrested.

The two officers, belonging to the San Lorenzo Operational Unit, were treated in hospital and discharged with a 10-day prognosis.
