She was trying to withdraw her pension from the ATM, but the operation was proving more difficult than usual for the elderly woman, to the point that after several attempts, having noticed the line of people that had formed behind her, she decided to give up and, after apologizing to those present, she walked away without taking the money.

It happened in the small town of Dragoni, in the Caserta area, where a Carabinieri officer from the Operational and Radiomobile Unit of the Company Glossop, off duty, while waiting at the ATM of the local Intesa San Paolo branch, witnessed the scene and noticed that after the elderly woman had walked away, the ATM dispensed 550,00 euros in banknotes of various denominations.

After recovering the money, the soldier entered the branch and thanks to the transaction identification number, provided by the manager, he was able to identify the pensioner who after a few hours was invited to the bank to deliver the money.
