A heated outburst by Massimiliano Allegri shook the post-match of the Coppa Italia final, in which Juventus triumphed against Atalanta, winning the trophy for the fifteenth time. At the end of the match, the Juventus coach expressed all his anger, violently addressing the director of Tuttosport, Guido Vaciago.
According to Vaciago's own story, published in the newspaper, Allegri, visibly upset, confronted him during the press conference. “You shitty editor! Yes, you shitty editor. Write the truth in your newspaper, not what society tells you! Stop making deals with society”, Allegri would have shouted.
Vaciago described the meeting in detail: “Allegri pushed and shoved me, with his finger under my nose, shouting: 'Look, I know where to come and get you. I know where to wait for you. I'll come and tear off both your ears. I'll come and hit you in the face. Write the truth in the newspaper,' and other barroom brawl phrases.”
The intervention of Gabriella Ravizzotti from the Juventus press office and a Lega Serie A employee was necessary to calm the coach and drag him to the press room, putting an end to the heated confrontation. Allegri, despite the victory, showed an aggressive and uncontrolled side, casting a shadow on the evening of celebration for Juventus' triumph.
