Enough promises, Bagnoli Let's go! The mayor of Naples Gaetano Manfredi, also government commissioner for the reclamation and regeneration of the site of national interest (SIN) of Bagnoli, has made it clear that it is time for concrete actions.
During an inspection with the Minister for European Affairs, the South and Cohesion Policies Raffaele Fitto, Manfredi announced the imminent start of the works: between June and July the construction sites for the reclamation, the creation of the urban park and the sports park will begin.
Adequate funding and a vision for the future: Manfredi expressed confidence in the sufficiency of the funds allocated, stating: “With this allocation Bagnoli is completed, but we must look beyond”.
The mayor underlined the importance of a synergic work for the good of the city: "As Minister Fitto said, we must work to realize the concrete things that the city needs. I am a government commissioner and I answer to the national government, but I am also the mayor of Naples and I must act in the interests of the Neapolitans and the territory".
Cohesion agreement coming soon: Minister Fitto confirmed the imminent signing of a key agreement: “In the next few days we will sign the cohesion agreement with the commissioner”.
Fruitful collaboration for a bright future: Fitto praised the collaboration with Manfredi: “Together with Mayor Manfredi, with whom we have started a fruitful collaboration from the very beginning, we have implemented important work that in the coming days will find an operational response with the signing (…) of the agreement provided for by Article 14 of the decree law”.
